Rochon Corporation has always regarded the employee as one of their most important assets. The company will, at all times, and at every level of management, attempt to provide and maintain a safe working environment for all employees. We have developed and implemented a Workplace Accident and Injury Reduction Program (AWAIR) as part of the health and safety program in an effort to prevent accidents, eliminate work injuries, improve operations, and reduce personal and financial losses. We will abide by all regulations as they pertain to our “Industry” which is set forth by the Federal, State, and local standards and by the “Good Proactive” as dictated by locations and circumstances.
Rochon Site Safety Acknowledgement

We will abide by all regulations as they pertain to our “Industry” which is set forth by the Federal, State, and local standards and by the “Good Proactive” as dictated by locations and circumstances.
To ensure the safety of all subcontractors, vendors, employees, and site visitors – Rochon requests all persons on this jobsite to review, understand, and acknowledge the following general safety guidelines. Please note, this is a list of guidelines and should not be considered fully inclusive of every site condition. As site conditions, jobsite restrictions/conditions will vary, the expectations and guidelines for site safety will be amended, modified, and supplemented as necessary.
By signing this acknowledgement, the subcontractor, vendor, employee, and/or site visitor agrees to observe and comply with the following requirements:
- All applicable Federal, State, Local, or other regulatory agency’s safety rules and regulations including but not limited to the Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970, Occupational Safety & Health Standards for the Construction Industry 29 CFR Part 1926 with Amendments as of January 1st, 2018.
- Rochon Safety policies will be followed as required. A digital version of the Rochon Safety Manual is available upon request. Subcontractors will, upon request, provide a copy of their AWAIR program.
- As safety is everyone’s responsibility, Rochon Corporation requests that you familiarize yourself with the location of the First Aid Kit, AED (if applicable to this site), and SDS sheets. At any time, you can refer to our site-specific emergency document posted at the jobsite trailer. This document will provide you with emergency phone numbers and directions to the closest hospital and urgent care locations.
- Any unsafe working conditions, accidents, or near misses must be reported to the Rochon Superintendent immediately so appropriate action can be taken to correct and/or document the situation.
- It is the responsibility of both Rochon and the subcontractors to ensure the working area is safe for all employees. All areas of the project shall be maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Each subcontractor shall clean their work area daily.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be utilized as necessary for this site. PPE includes (but is not limited to) hard hats, Class II vests and safety glasses. It is the subcontractor’s responsibility to provide proper PPE for their employees.
- Every individual is responsible for ensuring proper clothing is worn on the site including shirts with sleeves, long pants, and sturdy work shoes or boots.
- Fall protection must be utilized properly when working in elevated areas.
- Any subcontractor performing work at a height of 6’ or greater must provide Rochon Corporation with a written fall protection plan prior to the commencement of work.
- Scaffolding and aerial lifts/work platforms must be installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Scaffolding must be erected, inspected, and dismantled by a competent person.
- Ladders are to be used according to OSHA guidelines.
- Proper guards, barricades, or covers shall be utilized in open areas and floor holes which could result in a fall or tripping hazard. These safety precautions will be the responsibility of the subcontractor creating the hazard.
- Only trained personnel will operate equipment and tools on this project.
- All daily and annual inspections of motorized equipment must be made available upon request, and these inspections are the responsibility of the subcontractor utilizing the equipment.
- All electrical tools and cords will be grounded or double insulated and inspected prior to use. All temporary wiring and powered equipment must be installed with GFCI protection.
- Any work involving a crane must have a written pick plan submitted to Rochon Corporation. This pick plan must be approved by a Rochon employee prior to being utilized.
- All subcontractors must comply with the OSHA Standard 1926.1153 for silica exposure.
- The use, sale, or possession of alcohol and other drugs on the site is prohibited. Those who are believed to have used or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be removed from the site.
- In the event of an emergency which renders the site or building unsafe or hazardous, please report to the jobsite office trailer, sign in, and await further instruction.
- Repeated violation of these requirements may result in removal from this site and/or termination of the Subcontract Agreement.
